When you register or are invited to a Kameti group, we collect your name, phone number, and any profile information you provide.
Committee & Transaction Data
We store information about the savings committees you are part of, including installment amounts, payout schedules, payment status, and any payment proof images you upload.
Device Information
We automatically collect device type, operating system version, and app version to ensure the app works correctly on your device.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the app, such as features used and screens visited, to improve the product experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your Kameti account
- Enable committee admins to manage members, payout schedules, and installments
- Process and display payment proof submissions
- Send you notifications about your committee activity, due payments, and payout updates
- Improve and maintain the Kameti application
- Respond to your support requests
We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within your committee: Your name and payment status are visible to the committee admin and other members of your specific savings group.
- Service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party services that help us operate the app (such as cloud hosting and notification services), under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information.
Payment proof images are stored securely and are only accessible to the relevant committee admin and the member who uploaded them.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
