Getting Started

How do I create a Kameti (committee)?

  1. Open the Kameti app and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap “Create New Kameti” on the home screen.
  3. Enter the committee name, total number of members, monthly installment amount, and start month.
  4. Review the total pool amount shown before confirming.
  5. Tap “Create” to launch your committee.

Once created, you can invite members immediately using the share link.

How do I invite members to my committee?

After creating your Kameti, go to the Members section and tap “Invite Members.” A unique invite link is generated for your committee. Share this link via WhatsApp, SMS, or any messaging app. When a member opens the link, they are added to your committee.

How do I assign payout months?

Kameti gives you two options:

  • Manual Assignment: Go to Payout Schedule and drag members into the month of your choice.
  • Lucky Draw: Tap “Run Lucky Draw” to randomly assign open payout slots. The draw respects locked positions (members who already have a fixed month) and handles multi-slot members automatically.

Payments & Proof

How does payment proof work?

When a member makes their monthly installment payment, they upload a screenshot or photo of their receipt directly in the app (supports EasyPaisa, JazzCash, and bank transfer proof).

As an admin, you will see a notification and the proof will appear in your Approval Queue. Tap to review and approve or follow up with the member.

What payment methods are supported for proof upload?

Members can upload proof for any payment method including:

  • EasyPaisa
  • JazzCash
  • Bank transfer (any bank)
  • Any other digital or manual transfer

The app stores the proof image securely and creates an audit trail for every payment cycle.

What happens if a member misses a payment?

The installment will remain marked as Pending in your dashboard. You can send a reminder to the member directly from the app. The admin portal shows a clear view of paid vs. pending installments for each month.

Managing Your Committee

Can I edit member details after the committee has started?

Yes. Go to the Members section and tap on any member to edit their name, contact details, or payout month assignment. Some changes may require confirmation depending on the stage of the committee cycle.

Can I add or remove members mid-cycle?

You can add members to open slots before the committee is fully active. Removing a member mid-cycle requires manual adjustment of the payout schedule. Contact support if you need help with mid-cycle changes.

What is a split payout slot?

A split slot allows two or more members to share one payout month. The payout amount is divided equally between them. This is useful when a full installment is too large for one member or when a group wants to include more participants than months available.

Account & Access

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password” and enter your registered phone number or email. You will receive an OTP to reset your password.

Can one person manage multiple committees?

Yes. Admins can create and switch between multiple Kameti committees from one account. Each committee has its own member list, payout schedule, and payment history.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and stored on secure servers. Payment proof images are only accessible to the relevant committee admin and the member who submitted them. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
